Hybrid Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop a comprehensive multi-cloud strategy, target-state architecture, and adoption guardrails across relevant platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.

• Create federated identity, single sign-on (SSO), and cross-cloud authorization frameworks.

• Design networking solutions between clouds, including transit hubs, private connections, and zero-trust methodologies.

• Establish reusable infrastructure-as-code frameworks that generalize cloud-specific implementations as needed.

• Formulate strategies for containers, Kubernetes, and serverless technologies across various providers.

• Create data architecture plans for cross-cloud data movement, residency, and analytics.

• Enhance multi-cloud observability, security monitoring, and unified policy enforcement.

• Implement FinOps practices across multiple cloud environments.

• Spearhead disaster recovery and business continuity strategies that encompass various clouds.

• Collaborate with security architects to develop multi-cloud security models, key management strategies, and KMS initiatives.

• Advise engineering teams on the differences between cloud-agnostic and cloud-native practices.

• Generate architectural documents such as context diagrams, sequence diagrams, decision logs, and reference designs.

• Interact with cloud providers and partners to assess alignment with future roadmaps.

• Remain updated on advancements in multi-cloud platforms and tools, and convert these developments into actionable recommendations and adoption plans.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• A minimum of eight years of experience in cloud architecture positions.

• Practical architectural experience with at least two major cloud service providers.

• In-depth knowledge of cloud networking, identity management, and security across various platforms.

• Significant experience with infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code methodologies across clouds.

• Proficient in designing federated identity and SSO solutions across cloud environments.

• Strong understanding of Kubernetes, container technologies, and managed cloud services.

• Exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Multiple cloud certifications from various providers.

• Proven history of leading multi-cloud architecture projects.
