This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Develop and uphold orientation materials for new hires and ensure all necessary employee documentation is organized in the HRIS and personnel files.
β’ Establish and manage folders and files within the HR shared drive.
β’ Oversee HR processes, policies, and procedures.
β’ Collaborate with Talent and Training teams on the orientation for new hires.
β’ Work alongside IT and Facilities to coordinate equipment for new hires and terminations.
β’ Administer records related to I-9, EEO, workersβ compensation, background checks, and government sanctions.
β’ Authorize and update employee self-service requests and organizational changes in the HRIS.
β’ Record payroll adjustments for bi-weekly payroll processing.
β’ Act as a backup for employment verifications and recruitment coordination activities.
β’ Manage offboarding processes, including termination packets, final pay arrangements, and exit interviews.
β’ Provide assistance to employees regarding HR and benefits inquiries.
β’ Lead the approval and reimbursement processes for tuition assistance.
β’ Support initiatives related to unemployment, workersβ compensation, legal claims, compensation programs, policies, and HRIS updates.
β’ Maintain the emergency response system, ensuring accurate onboarding/offboarding data and troubleshooting as needed.
β’ Assist with performance evaluations, compensation, bonus, and benefits programs.
β’ Revise job descriptions and coordinate with HR business partners, Talent, and Recruitment.
β’ Identify inefficiencies in processes and propose improvements.
β’ Provide assistance with EEO-1, ACA, payroll, compliance audits, legislative updates, and policy maintenance.
β’ High School Diploma or GED is required.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
β’ At least 3 years of experience in Benefits and Payroll.
β’ Preferred: Bachelorβs Degree in Business, Psychology, Human Resources, or related fields.
β’ Experience in a combination of academic education, professional training, or work experience will be accepted in lieu of the preferred degree.
β’ PHR or HRIS Certification is preferred.
β’ Experience in healthcare or public settings is preferred.
β’ At least 3 years of experience with ADP, Workday, Paylocity, or similar HRIS platforms is preferred.
β’ Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive employee information.
β’ Capable of managing multiple projects across various departments.
β’ Ability to work effectively in a diverse, cross-cultural environment.
β’ Strong, professional, and articulate written communication skills.
β’ Ability to oversee projects and effectively prioritize resources.
β’ Proficient in self-managing priorities and responsibilities.
β’ Skilled at maintaining vendor relationships.
β’ Competency in using computer programs and workplace tools.
β’ Capability to implement and maintain reports.
β’ Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, HRIS, and payroll systems.
β’ A valid and current Driver's License, Auto Insurance, and professional licensure(s) are required.
