This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee recruiting processes for approved roles, which include job postings, resume evaluations, candidate screenings, interview arrangements, and communication with candidates.
• Facilitate employee onboarding, encompassing necessary documentation, orientation activities, employee records management, and adherence to internal onboarding protocols.
• Act as the main contact for routine HR inquiries and concerns from employees.
• Assist managers in matters related to employee performance, conduct, and disciplinary actions, maintaining the necessary documentation.
• Organize employee performance review processes along with the associated documentation.
• Manage routine employee benefits processes, including enrollment, changes, and addressing employee inquiries.
• Coordinate mandatory company training and employee development initiatives while maintaining training records.
• Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of personnel files, employee records, HR forms, and relevant documentation.
• Implement established HR policies and procedures, ensuring uniform application throughout the organization.
• Oversee employee offboarding processes, including separation documentation, retrieval of company property, access removal coordination, and conducting exit interviews.
• Maintain HR checklists, templates, standard operating procedures, and ongoing HR processes.
• Monitor HR deadlines, employee documentation requirements, and regular compliance activities.
• Identify gaps in HR processes and propose enhancements to boost consistency, efficiency, and the employee experience.
• Elevate sensitive or higher-risk employee issues to the COO as necessary.
• Assist with additional HR and employee-related projects as organizational needs change.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Human Resources.
• Proven experience in supporting recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes.
• Familiarity with employee offboarding and maintenance of personnel documentation.
• Working knowledge of employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary procedures.
• Experience in administering employee benefits.
• Excellent organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple HR tasks and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to keeping accurate employee records.
• Capability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with care.
• Ability to work autonomously, identify problems, and see tasks through to completion.
• Proficiency in effective communication with employees, managers, and leadership.
• Preferred: 2-4 years of diverse HR experience in a small to mid-sized organization.
• Preferred: Background as an HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, People Operations Specialist, or a similar position.
• Preferred: Experience in professional services, technology, government contracting, or a similar workforce.
• Preferred: Familiarity with HRIS, applicant tracking systems, payroll, benefits, or related HR technologies.
• Preferred: Possession of SHRM-CP, PHR, or a comparable HR certification.
