This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and communicate leave of absence initiatives across all company locations.
• Act as the main point of contact for employees and managers regarding eligibility, documentation, timelines, and job protections.
• Manage the process of leave intake, case tracking, recordkeeping, claims processing, and case resolution.
• Take ownership of the complete leave and accommodation process globally, from intake to return-to-work.
• Collaborate with in-country HR and legal advisors to ensure correct application of local laws.
• Coordinate with third-party administrators, insurance providers, Payroll, Benefits, HR, and Legal departments.
• Ensure correct pay treatment, continuation of benefits, and processing of return-to-work.
• Stay updated on legislative changes and integrate them into revised policies, processes, and communications.
• Uphold confidentiality and adhere to applicable data privacy regulations, including GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act.
• Lead the interactive process under the ADA and oversee disability and medical accommodation cases globally.
• Track requests for accommodations and their outcomes.
• Create leave policies, employee communications, FAQs, and guidance for managers.
• Analyze leave program metrics and highlight trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Suggest enhancements to leave administration technology and workflows.
• Educate HR business partners and people leaders on leave and accommodation policies and procedures.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in administering leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA, and state/local leave laws.
• Required experience in administering or coordinating leave/accommodation programs across multiple countries.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of federal, state, and relevant international leave and accommodation regulations.
• Proven experience in leading the ADA interactive process and managing accommodation requests from start to finish.
• Experience collaborating with third-party leave/disability administrators, insurance carriers, and local HR or legal partners.
• Familiarity with applying local employment laws in a multi-country operational context.
• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of discretion and sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential employee information.
• Proficiency with HRIS and leave management systems such as Workday, ADP, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Proficiency in Spanish or Dutch is an advantage.
• PHR, SHRM-CP, GPHR, or CLMS certification is a plus.
