This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee and address intricate employee relations matters with minimal supervision.
• Perform comprehensive, objective investigations effectively.
• Work in tandem with business partner teams and Legal to tackle complex issues and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
• Offer guidance and training on performance management to line management.
• Enhance workplace relationships, morale, productivity, and employee retention.
• Provide advice on EAP referrals, suspected impairments, disability accommodations, discrimination, retaliation, union activities, separations, and severance agreements.
• Oversee and manage quarterly and annual performance evaluation cycles.
• Provide leadership and review tasks performed by HRBP I.
• Assist leaders and employees in navigating organizational changes and shifts in business strategy.
• Manage comprehensive Human Resources projects and processes across the department.
• Design, monitor, and analyze HR metrics, offering recommendations to enhance organizational effectiveness.
• Support initiatives related to workforce reporting, turnover analysis, and engagement surveys.
• Collaborate with People Operations, payroll, HRIS, Compensation, and Benefits teams to deliver client solutions.
• Lead initiatives aimed at process improvement.
• Address compensation-related inquiries and collaborate with the Total Rewards team.
• Draft contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
• Assist international employees with visa assignments and associated HR matters.
• Provide guidance on organizational restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
• Draft and propose policies for the Employee Handbook, FAQ sheets, and specific procedures.
• Conduct audits of policies, procedures, and practices for compliance with federal and state laws.
• Manage audits for client groups.
• Oversee HCM transactional entries, troubleshoot complex transactions, and act as an HCM subject matter expert.
• Present analytical findings to managers and facilitate workshops or training sessions on leadership, compliance, or DEI topics.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist is required.
• At least 4 years of experience in resolving complex employee relations issues is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Behavioral Science, Human Resources Management, or a related field is required.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
• Experience in a multi-state organization is preferred.
• Human Resources certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP are preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of employee relations, conflict resolution, compensation, and internal complaint investigations.
• Strong understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
• Proficient knowledge of Human Resources policies, procedures, compliance, and practices.
• Familiarity with the development, execution, and maintenance of Human Resources projects and programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
• Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
• Excellent skills in decision-making, interpersonal relations, customer service, communication, coaching, counseling, investigation, research, conflict resolution, multitasking, prioritization, independent work, business acumen, attention to detail, and adaptability.
