This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Collaborate with managers and staff across designated client groups to offer HR guidance, coaching, and effective solutions.
• Act as a reliable resource for inquiries from both employees and managers.
• Address issues and carry out employee relations investigations.
• Assist managers throughout the processes of hiring, onboarding, performance management, employee development, conflict resolution, organizational changes, and offboarding.
• Organize and manage HR processes and programs, which include employee documentation, unemployment claims, exit interviews, workers compensation, ADA compliance, and other HR operational functions.
• Provide support for benefits administration, performance management, compensation, and talent management processes.
• Oversee employee onboarding, training, and initiatives for learning and development.
• Ensure that employee records and sensitive information are maintained confidentially and accurately.
• Guarantee adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
• Engage in and lead HR projects, process enhancement initiatives, workforce analytics, and activities that promote employee experience and align with business objectives.
• An Associate degree in Human Resources or a related field AND two (2) years of experience as a human resources generalist, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with current State and Federal Wage and Employment Laws, as well as HR policies and procedures.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to uphold strict confidentiality and manage HR administrative processes effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Foundational proficiency with UltiPro or other Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
• Web proficiency.
• Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends if business needs require.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to assigned schools, worksites, and board meetings as necessary.
• Willingness to travel throughout Ohio and neighboring service areas up to 15% of the time, including occasional overnight travel.
• Must be a resident of Ohio.
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.
• Experience in educational or curriculum development organizations is preferred.
• Candidate should reside within commuting distance of Maumee, OH.
