This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in HRIS and payroll system initiatives and, upon contract award, engage in related implementation or assessment tasks.
• Evaluate the agency's HR, timekeeping, payroll, and position-control processes in relation to the proposed system.
• Organize configuration, conduct parallel payroll testing, and manage the conversion of employee and position data.
• Identify integrations with finance, timekeeping, and retirement or benefits vendors.
• Contribute to system qualifications and past-performance narratives for proposals, but only when authorized to name specifics.
• Assist with agency payroll parallel runs and ensure readiness for go-live.
• Differentiate between implementations carried out and advisory work provided.
• Direct experience in HRIS or payroll system implementation for an organization with complex pay rules, serving as a functional lead or senior consultant.
• Proficient in employee data conversion, parallel payroll testing, and cutover processes.
• Knowledgeable in position control, time entry, and the setup of earnings and deductions.
• Capable of naming the HRIS or payroll product that has been delivered.
• Comfortable working as a 1099 project-based collaborator, with occasional travel to client sites.
• Experience in public-sector or school system payroll, including knowledge of bargaining-unit pay rules (preferable).
• Familiarity with multiple HRIS products, rather than experience limited to a single vendor (preferable).
• Remote-first work model.
• Opportunities for collaboration on project-based initiatives.
• Occasional travel to client sites related to engagements.
• Possibility of being recognized as an expert collaborator or key personnel on proposals, pending authorization.
• Collaboration as a 1099 project-based contractor.
