This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Act as the primary escalation point within operations leadership for matters related to accommodations.
β’ Oversee intricate and sensitive accommodation cases involving executives, non-executives, and HR-for-HR.
β’ Assist with the onboarding process for new hires through the development of nesting plans, conducting audits, and offering coaching.
β’ Evaluate regional quality metrics, case volumes, types, approvals, and trends to suggest training enhancements and process optimizations.
β’ Manage adjustments in workflow, protocols for out-of-office scenarios, and allocation of work assignments.
β’ Propose training programs, offer feedback from surveys, and disseminate best practices.
β’ Coordinate with leave case management and disability vendors on return-to-work strategies.
β’ Provide consultation and coaching for HR partners, managers, employees, and accommodation specialists.
β’ Offer information, referrals, and assistance concerning medical conditions, disabilities, accommodations, leave, and disability programs.
β’ Facilitate elevated communications among employees, HR, managers, legal teams, and other relevant stakeholders.
β’ Collaborate with management of disability and leave services and legal partners on escalated matters.
β’ Handle behavioral health cases with the necessary discretion and appropriate escalation.
β’ Assist in identifying essential and non-essential job functions for accommodation decisions.
β’ Conduct job site evaluations to assess job demands and potential accommodations.
β’ Clarify work restrictions, functional limitations, and legal rights and responsibilities.
β’ Ensure confidentiality and maintain accurate case records within case management systems and databases.
β’ Stay informed about legislation and issues impacting disability access and workplace accommodations.
β’ Evaluate training requirements and lead or support group training sessions.
β’ Provide professional insights and documentation for grievances, arbitration, depositions, and other forums.
β’ Comply with service level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards while handling high-volume, complex cases.
β’ A Bachelor's degree is required.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of experience in leave of absence, disability case management, ADA/ADAAA accommodations, human resources, or a similar field.
β’ Solid understanding of federal and state leave and disability laws, including ADA/ADAAA and FMLA.
β’ Proven experience managing cases from initiation to resolution in a case management system.
β’ Capability to clearly communicate complex information to employees, managers, and HR partners, both verbally and in writing.
β’ Previous experience in disability accommodations, ADA compliance, or workplace accessibility.
β’ Experience working with corporate or professional employee groups in a large, fast-paced environment.
β’ Familiarity with internal accommodation case management platforms and associated HR systems.
β’ Knowledge of medical documentation review, including the interpretation of physician notes regarding functional limitations and work restrictions.
β’ Proficient in using case management systems, HR tools, and the MS Office Suite.
β’ Ability to adapt to meet service level expectations and handle urgent escalations.
