This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.
• Act as the initial point of contact for employees and managers regarding inquiries and requests related to HR.
• Address employee questions and offer guidance on HR policies, processes, programs, and available resources.
• Elevate complex or sensitive issues to the appropriate HR representatives.
• Oversee employee lifecycle processes, which include hiring, onboarding, personnel changes, leaves of absence, return-from-leave, offboarding, and termination activities.
• Ensure accuracy of employee data in Workday and other HR systems.
• Manage benefits such as company housing, savings plans, group insurance, relocation assistance, allowances, pensions, and health insurance.
• Handle enrollments, changes, payments, employee requests, documentation, and official certificates.
• Prepare payroll inputs and generate recurring or ad hoc reports.
• Assist with data validation, audits, and requests for HR operational data.
• Work in collaboration with local and remote HR Services teams, HR stakeholders, Centers of Excellence, Payroll, and external vendors.
• Facilitate workload balancing, service continuity, knowledge sharing, and documentation of processes.
• Recognize and implement process enhancements that streamline HR services and boost efficiency and employee satisfaction.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
• 2-4 years of experience in HR Operations, HR Administration, or Shared Services.
• Proven experience in supporting employee lifecycle activities and HR administration processes.
• Preferred experience in administering employee benefits, pensions, health insurance, or similar HR programs.
• Experience in a multinational or matrixed environment is a plus.
• Strong orientation towards customer service and employee support.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to work effectively in a collaborative and team-oriented setting.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to adhere to processes while exercising sound judgment.
• A mindset focused on continuous improvement and a readiness to challenge inefficient practices.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Fluency in Japanese and proficiency in English (both written and verbal).
• Must have legal authorization to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for a work visa.
