This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Act as a reliable initial point of contact for employees and managers, managing inquiries in the HR mailbox and handling employment verification requests.

• Offer advice on HR policies, benefits, programs, procedures, and matters related to employees.

• Oversee and coordinate leave administration utilizing HRIS platforms.

• Assist with onboarding and orientation for new hires, which includes handling employee documentation and resources.

• Manage employee lifecycle transactions, such as new hires, terminations, status changes, transfers, leaves of absence, and position modifications.

• Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of HRIS data and employee records.

• Participate in the development, execution, and enhancement of HR policies, procedures, and practices.

• Stay updated on employment laws and regulatory requirements.

• Engage in strategic HR projects, programs, and cross-functional initiatives.

• Facilitate reporting for federal, state, and provincial requirements in the U.S. and Canada.

• Oversee U.S. employment eligibility verification processes, including I-9 documentation and E-Verify.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is essential.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent blend of education and relevant experience.

• 3–5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.

• Familiarity with HR principles, best practices, employment standards, and regulatory requirements in both Canada and the United States.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, along with strong interpersonal skills.

• Capability to handle competing priorities and adhere to deadlines.

• Proficiency in working accurately and professionally within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.

• Experience with Dayforce is regarded as a significant advantage.

• Exhibit professional judgment, discretion, and integrity when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.

• Applicants must have authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship or transfer is not available, including CPT/OPT.
