This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +16 more locations.
• Monitor changes in state laws and create as well as implement updates to policies regarding employee classifications and pay scales.
• Oversee the annual compliance audit and refresh the employee handbook from initiation to completion within the first 90 days.
• Address escalated inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and leave.
• Review and facilitate the workflow of Payroll and HR Administration team members.
• Redesign HR operational processes with a focus on AI integration.
• Transition into managing daily HR operations effectively.
• Assist in managing increasingly intricate HR operations as the company grows across various states and hires more employees.
• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct HR generalist experience.
• Authentic in-house experience with multi-state compliance.
• Practical experience in drafting policies, processing payroll, and managing compliance filings.
• Ability to work comfortably with payroll, benefits, and compliance within a small, fast-paced team.
• Passion for innovation and development with AI.
• Must currently reside in an eligible location: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, or Ontario, Canada, in line with the applicable full-time salary/hourly eligibility.
