This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
β’ Oversee employee relations from start to finish, encompassing investigations, grievances, conflicts, and formal performance processes.
β’ Manage the exit process in India, including documentation, statutory exposure, settlements, and exit files.
β’ Implement the performance framework, focusing on cycle mechanics, calibration, and moderation among offshore teams.
β’ Administer the compensation cycle, apply pay bands, ensure managers maintain defensible positions, and provide market data for India.
β’ Ensure compliance in India with policies, Labour Codes, and POSH regulations.
β’ Analyze attrition rates, assess cost implications, and recommend necessary changes.
β’ Conduct engagement surveys, oversee manager-driven action plans, and facilitate team events for a remote workforce.
β’ Establish standards and safeguard the scope for the HR coordinator.
β’ Assess and advocate for enhanced tools to improve manual processes.
β’ Develop the offshore people function and address gaps in employee relations, performance, compensation, compliance, attrition, and engagement.
β’ Adapt the global people standards to fit the Indian context.
β’ Achieve key outcomes within the first 90 days, including a formal employee relations process, complete performance-cycle calibration, a compliance audit for India, attrition analysis, engagement surveys, and team events.
β’ Capability to independently manage the entire termination process in India, including documentation, statutory exposure, settlements, and complete file management.
β’ Proven experience in conducting investigations or handling grievances with contested outcomes, maintaining a robust process.
β’ Experience in managing a performance cycle across various teams, including calibration and the ability to adjust manager ratings.
β’ Demonstrated experience in executing a compensation cycle with applied bands, sourcing, and justifying market data.
β’ Strong ownership of Indiaβs policy and Labour Codes work, including management of the POSH committee, policy development, training, and reporting.
β’ Proficiency in writing documents that withstand legal scrutiny, including investigation summaries, warning letters, and exit files.
β’ Experience in advocating a position against senior personnel, including recognizing and amending incorrect positions.
β’ Typically five to eight years of relevant experience.
β’ Experience in GCC, offshore delivery centers, or multi-country people management is a plus.
β’ Familiarity with establishing a people function is advantageous.
β’ Experience collaborating with external payroll and compliance bureaus is beneficial.
β’ Background in Education, EdTech, or similar organizations that focus on peopleβs outcomes is desirable.
