This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Manage the complete employee relations process, encompassing investigations, grievances, conflicts, and formal performance procedures.
• Oversee India exit processes, including necessary documentation, statutory considerations, settlements, and case files.
• Implement and maintain the performance framework, which includes cycle mechanics, calibration, and moderation across offshore teams.
• Conduct the compensation cycle, apply relevant bands, uphold defensible positions, and provide market data for India.
• Ensure compliance in India by managing policy adherence, Labour Codes, and POSH regulations.
• Analyze attrition rates along with associated costs and suggest improvements.
• Execute engagement surveys, develop manager-led action plans, and organize team events.
• Establish benchmarks and safeguard the responsibilities of the HR coordinator.
• Assess and advocate for improved tools while reconfiguring manually operated processes.
• Develop the offshore people function and address gaps in compliance, attrition insights, and process documentation.
• Within the initial three months, complete a formal employee relations process, calibrate a performance cycle, review and finalize India policy/Labour Codes/POSH positions, conduct attrition analysis, initiate the first engagement survey, and host team events.
• Comprehensive experience managing the termination process in India, including documentation, statutory implications, settlements, and final file management.
• Proven experience conducting investigations or handling grievances with contested outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to operate performance cycles across various teams, including calibration and rating moderation.
• Solid experience managing compensation cycles with applied bands and defensible market data.
• Responsibility for India policy and Labour Codes, including POSH committee management, policy development, training, and reporting.
• Strong writing skills that can withstand legal scrutiny, including investigation summaries, warning letters, and exit documentation.
• Experience advocating for a position with senior stakeholders and demonstrating flexibility when proven incorrect.
• Typically, five to eight years of relevant experience.
• Nice to have: experience in GCC, offshore delivery centers, or multi-country people management.
• Nice to have: experience in establishing a people function.
• Nice to have: familiarity with external payroll and compliance bureaus.
• Nice to have: experience in the Education, EdTech sectors, or similar organizations focusing on people's outcomes.
