This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Act as a strategic, relationship-focused HR partner to both leaders and employees, primarily supporting the Operations and Litigation Technology business sectors.
β’ Take responsibility for employee relations issues and workplace investigations across the organization and within designated business lines.
β’ Offer daily advice on personnel matters, policy interpretation, team dynamics, workforce planning, organizational structure, and headcount management.
β’ Facilitate HR screening interviews for positions at the supervisor level and above.
β’ Provide recruiting assistance during periods of elevated hiring demands.
β’ Conduct market compensation analysis and aid in establishing compensation ranges and making offer negotiation recommendations.
β’ Carry out assigned exit interviews with managers.
β’ Support hiring procedures by offering compliance guidance, job description assistance, and market or policy insights.
β’ Collaborate with business lines to minimize turnover, enhance engagement, and supply workforce trend data and insights.
β’ Coach managers through performance and conduct issues and identify suitable resolutions.
β’ Oversee disciplinary processes, which include performance improvement plans and involuntary terminations.
β’ Assist with unemployment claims and related responses to state agencies, as well as separation documentation.
β’ Guide managers through discussions on performance and disciplinary issues, as well as annual performance evaluations.
β’ Counsel managers on merit increases, promotions, and other compensation decisions within the established salary bands.
β’ Provide supplementary HR support across departmental functions.
β’ Contribute to the digitization and ongoing enhancement of HR processes and systems.
β’ Ensure the consistent and compliant application of company policies.
β’ Assist in investigations or complaints related to harassment, discrimination, or safety concerns.
β’ Support HR compliance initiatives and carry out additional HR responsibilities as needed.
β’ Over 5 years of experience as an HR business partner or generalist with direct responsibility for employee relations and workplace investigations.
β’ Experience supporting a workforce of 200+ employees and/or multiple team groups.
β’ Strong coaching, consulting, and conflict-resolution capabilities with people leaders.
β’ Working knowledge of relevant federal and state employment laws.
β’ Excellent judgment and discretion when dealing with highly confidential and sensitive issues.
β’ Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a remote work environment.
β’ Proficient in Paylocity or similar HRIS/payroll systems.
β’ Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite; strong Excel capabilities are essential.
β’ Experience collaborating with operations or other client-facing teams, preferably within a legal services context (or related industry).
β’ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
β’ SHRM-CP or PHR certification is preferred.
