This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Investigate and address urgent production challenges raised by Success, Support, Project, or Account Management teams.
• Write and execute SQL queries for data corrections, imports, exports, and reporting adjustments.
• Conduct root-cause analysis on transactional data, logs, and system behaviors.
• Read and comprehend the PHP/Symfony codebase to troubleshoot issues and validate system logic.
• Create and execute custom scripts using PHP and SQL for bulk updates, data migrations, or exports.
• Safely deploy fixes using internal tools such as Phing, including rollback plans when required.
• Collaborate with Support, Success, Account Management, Core, and other cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and validate solutions.
• Thoroughly document fixes in Jira, detailing logic, risks, and testing procedures.
• Participate in Hotfix sprint planning, standups, and reviews.
• Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of Hotfix workflows, documentation, and best practices.
• Provide proactive updates on ticket progress, risks, and obstacles.
• 2–4 years of experience in software development, technical support engineering, or a developer-facing technical role.
• Strong SQL proficiency, encompassing queries, updates, imports/exports, and data validation.
• Solid grasp of debugging and troubleshooting transactional or log-based systems.
• Proficient in PHP with familiarity in the Symfony framework.
• Experience with Git workflows and deployment pipelines.
• Familiarity with MySQL Workbench, Docker, and Graylog or equivalent logging tools.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to work effectively under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills when engaging with non-technical stakeholders.
• Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in building or maintaining exports, reporting tools, or custom client scripts is a plus.
• Familiarity with ACH (Automated Clearing House) processing is a plus.
• Previous experience in client-facing support, success, or technical troubleshooting is advantageous.
• Experience documenting technical fixes for non-technical audiences is beneficial.
• Must reside in and be legally eligible to work in a Latin American (LATAM) country.
• Willingness to work under an Independent Contractor Agreement and manage own taxes and benefits.
• Willingness and ability to work during EST business hours.
• Willingness to purchase own equipment upfront with reimbursement available later.
