This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create opportunities and generate demand for a new hospital antibiotic within a specified territory.
• Educate formulary decision-makers, key stakeholders, and healthcare providers regarding clinical benefits.
• Ensure formulary adoption and uptake within the institutional IV antibiotic market.
• Promote formulary access and sales at prominent U.S. hospital institutions.
• Engage healthcare professionals in institutional settings.
• Develop and implement account-specific strategies to enhance awareness and availability of anti-infective products.
• Operate independently to drive sales performance and meet or surpass territory expectations.
• Inform healthcare professionals about clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy and safety profiles.
• Develop, execute, and monitor territory and business plans.
• Target key stakeholders within accounts to broaden product usage and customer base.
• Identify business opportunities and present value propositions that align with customer needs.
• Advance hospitals and customers through the sales process and secure prescriber commitments.
• Exhibit knowledge of promoted products, competitive brands, disease states, patient profiles, and treatment pathways.
• Collaborate in a complex, matrixed selling environment involving Market Access, Medical, Marketing, and Operations.
• Develop and execute pull-through strategies to promote appropriate product adoption and usage.
• Utilize data tools, insights, and other informational resources for informed business decision-making.
• Report activities and account details accurately and promptly in CRM technology.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, values, and applicable laws.
• Manage territory budgets, Speaker Programs allocations, samples, and other resources.
• Complete all required training, acknowledgments, call reports, expense reports, and administrative duties.
• Proven and measurable sales performance track record, including achieving or exceeding territory performance goals.
• Experience in account-based selling within the assigned territory.
• Strong understanding of the purchasing, ordering, and administration of hospital products.
• Knowledge of formulary processes and reimbursement policies.
• Ability to comprehend and navigate hospital systems to access key decision-makers.
• Experience engaging with infectious disease specialists, critical care units, and hospitalists.
• Experience in securing hospital product formulary approval through P&T committees within the IV antibiotic or related categories.
• Established ability to understand, articulate, and routinely present complex scientific information.
• Strong presentation, organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
• Experience utilizing and optimizing CRM systems.
• Prior experience promoting newly launched products.
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record required.
• Demonstrated effective time management, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Proven judgment and decision-making capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a BS/MS in life sciences preferred, with experience in sales, marketing, or product management; or equivalent skills and experience required.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Over 7 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, including at least 5 years in a hospital setting, ideally with anti-infectives.
• Strong preference for antibiotic account management experience or clinical experience such as a nurse or pharmacist.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Experience with CRM systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 65% overnight.
