This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Identify opportunities and create demand for a new hospital antibiotic within a specified territory.
• Provide education to formulary decision-makers, key stakeholders, and healthcare providers regarding clinical benefits.
• Achieve formulary adoption and usage within the institutional IV antibiotic sector.
• Enhance formulary access and drive sales at prominent U.S. hospital institutions.
• Interact with healthcare professionals in institutional settings.
• Formulate and implement account-specific strategies to boost awareness and availability of anti-infective products.
• Operate autonomously to enhance sales performance and meet or surpass territory expectations.
• Inform healthcare professionals about clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy and safety profiles.
• Create, implement, and track territory and business plans.
• Focus on key stakeholders within each account to broaden product usage and expand the customer base.
• Recognize business opportunities and present value propositions that align with customer requirements.
• Propel hospitals and customers along the sales continuum to secure prescriber commitments.
• Exhibit expertise in promoted products, competitive brands, disease states, patient profiles, and treatment pathways.
• Collaborate within a complex, matrixed selling environment alongside Market Access, Medical, Marketing, and Operations teams.
• Develop and implement strategies to facilitate appropriate product adoption and usage.
• Leverage data tools, insights, and other information sources for informed business decisions.
• Accurately and promptly report activities and account information using CRM technology.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, values, and applicable laws.
• Manage territory budgets, Speaker Programs allocations, samples, and other resources effectively.
• Complete mandatory training, acknowledgments, call reporting, expense reports, and administrative responsibilities.
• Proven and measurable sales performance track record, including meeting or exceeding territory performance objectives.
• Experience in account-based selling within the assigned territory.
• Strong understanding of the procurement, ordering, and administration processes for hospital products.
• Familiarity with formulary processes and reimbursement policies.
• Capability to navigate hospital systems to connect with key decision-makers.
• Experience in engaging with infectious disease specialists, critical care professionals, and hospitalists.
• Background in securing hospital product formulary approval through P&T committees within the IV antibiotic or related categories.
• Ability to comprehend, articulate, and regularly present complex scientific information.
• Strong skills in presentation, organization, administration, and communication.
• Experience in utilizing and optimizing CRM systems effectively.
• Previous experience in promoting newly launched products.
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record are mandatory.
• Effective time management, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
• Demonstrated judgment and decision-making skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a BS/MS in life sciences preferred, along with experience in sales, marketing, or product management; equivalent skills and experience are required.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• A minimum of 7 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with at least 5 years in a hospital setting, ideally focusing on anti-infectives.
• Antibiotic account management experience is strongly preferred, or relevant clinical experience such as nursing or pharmacy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• CRM experience is essential.
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 65% on average.
• Field-based remote work is required.
