This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire.
β’ Precisely assign ICD-10 and DRG codes to inpatient hospital services in alignment with current coding guidelines, payer policies, and regulatory standards.
β’ Analyze office, operative, and procedure documentation to assign appropriate codes and modifiers for compliance and maximized reimbursement.
β’ Ensure adherence to relevant coding standards, organizational protocols, and documentation regulations.
β’ Maintain a coding accuracy rate of at least 95% through quality assurance practices and participation in both internal and external audits.
β’ Work collaboratively with providers and coding leadership to address and resolve coding discrepancies.
β’ Participate in efforts aimed at quality improvement.
β’ Assist in achieving revenue cycle performance and compliance objectives.
β’ High school diploma or GED is required.
β’ A minimum of 2 years of medical coding experience is necessary.
β’ Possession of current AHIMA or AAPC Coding Certification(s) is mandatory.
β’ Familiarity with healthcare coding, documentation audits, and appeals is preferred.
β’ Must consistently and reliably meet deadlines.
