This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Oversee Revenue Cycle Services and other departments in resolving billing discrepancies and denials that require clinical expertise.
• Investigate, address, and rectify claim denials and rejections for designated clients.
• Manage all components of the billing cycle for assigned clients, encompassing charges, payments, and accounts receivable metrics and performance.
• Adhere to stipulated deadlines and timelines to meet both customer and company requirements.
• Contribute to the development of processes and procedures for designated accounts.
• Track and assess industry trends and issues for their potential impact on the organization.
• Engage with assigned clients regarding identified trends and propose recommended solutions.
• Work collaboratively with departments to ensure accuracy and efficiency in billing.
• Provide necessary reports to management while communicating resolutions for payer denial trends, collection accounts, and erroneous or incorrect charges.
• Ensure adherence to applicable regulations, standards, and laws.
• Support additional projects as assigned by Operations leadership.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in Medical Accounts Receivable.
• Experience with Athena is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of ICD10 and CPT coding.
• Proficient in computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, and medical billing software systems.
• Understanding of the full cycle revenue model.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ICD and CPT applications, correct practices, and tools utilized in the healthcare industry, including audits.
• Ability to interpret documents, medical records, and other documentation related to medical claims.
• Strong technical and computer skills, including proficiency in PM/EHR Software, Excel, Outlook, MS Office, and Web applications.
• Capability to identify and address trends within your workflow.
• Behavioral Health experience is preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
