Hospice Triage RN, Part-Time, Overnight

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Conduct telephone triage for hospice patients and their families.

• Evaluate patient conditions and identify suitable next steps.

• Work in collaboration with on-call teams to manage care and resources.

• Keep precise records of communications and interventions.

• Uphold a calm and professional attitude while addressing urgent calls.

• Offer essential after-hours assistance for hospice patients and family requirements.

• Organize timely interventions and care for patients utilizing hospice services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active multistate Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.

• Previous experience in hospice, palliative, or end-of-life care is strongly preferred.

• Proficiency with technology and electronic medical records (EMR) is necessary.

• Capability to type documentation and notes in a fast-paced setting.

• Ability to manage stress and multitask while receiving a minimum of 5 calls per hour on weekdays and up to 8 per hour on weekends.

• Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities are essential.

• Capacity to work independently in a remote setting.

• Consistent attendance and active communication during scheduled shifts are expected.

• Reliable internet connection must be maintained during all scheduled shifts.
