
Hospice Account Executive – Patient Care Advocate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish business relationships through effective sales outreach, including calls and presentations.
• Enhance and advocate for hospice programs and services while upholding high standards of end-of-life care.
• Drive referral growth within the designated territory, targeting facilities, physicians, home care providers, and community organizations.
• Cultivate connections with key referral sources, sharing information about new products, programs, and service delivery.
• Engage with patients and their families to discuss home care services and their specific needs.
• Coordinate with physicians, facility nurses, social workers, discharge planners, community agencies, referral partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Create, implement, and assess quarterly and annual plans for the territory.
• Keep detailed records of customer and competitor profiles, call logs, and follow-up strategies.
• Participate in marketing and community outreach activities, including physician visits, educational lunches, health fairs, speaker engagements, and CEU programs.
• Generate monthly reports tracking referrals and communicate changes in the marketplace.
• Advocate for timely, quality care for patients and caregivers dealing with life-limiting illnesses.
• Provide insights regarding community needs and program development, including financial sustainability.
• Maintain communication with attending, hospice, and other physicians involved in patient care.
• Ensure timely submission of required documentation.
• Promote hospice philosophy and administrative policies.
• Achieve productivity standards and complete additional responsibilities assigned by management.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in hospice sales or a similar industry.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving incremental growth in direct sales.
• Experience in delivering high-quality outcomes and fostering growth.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with both internal and external teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications for communication, presentations, database tracking/reporting, and spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with CRM solutions is preferred.
• Exceptional verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Access to reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and travel locally.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient mobility.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, coworkers, and visitors.
• Compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding agency operations.
