This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +3 more states.
• Conduct investigations into moderately complex and occasionally complex represented and unrepresented claims.
• Manage moderate and occasionally complex comprehensive personal liability claims.
• Collect recorded statements and resolve loss-of-use claims.
• Process payments to the appropriate parties.
• Negotiate and settle third-party property damage claims.
• Review estimates for evaluating claims settlements.
• Coordinate appraisals for highly complex and disputed claims.
• Assess coverage limits and determine claim values.
• Establish and update reserves while documenting rationale and claim summaries.
• Act as the primary contact for policyholder attorneys and lead direct negotiations.
• Draft and respond to attorney correspondence, information requests, and demands.
• Investigate and respond to customer communications, concerns, conflicts, and issues.
• Summarize documents and maintain notes and files within the claim system.
• Analyze lease agreements and condominium documents.
• Manage homeowners, condo, boat, and ATV policies, along with third-party liability risks.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in claims handling.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone.
• Capability to work independently and remotely while effectively managing time.
• Understanding of insurance policies, coverage, and liability determination.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities for assessing and negotiating injury claims.
• Familiarity with innovative tools and platforms for claims evaluation.
• Experience in handling condo claims and property liability.
• Prior experience with large-loss claims and litigation management.
• Consistent and predictable attendance is required.
• Ability to obtain necessary adjuster and/or appraiser licenses within 60 days of hire, if applicable.
• Must terminate existing insurance-license appointments and surrender a resident producer license when instructed, if applicable.
• Successful completion of a background investigation is mandatory.
• Must have a dedicated private home office with an appropriate work surface, seating, and internet speed of at least 50 MB download/5 MB upload.
• Home office must be situated within the United States; residents of California, Alaska, Hawaii, and Washington are excluded.
• Allstate typically does not sponsor employment-based visas for this role.
