This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Deliver in-home infusion therapy with consistent travel to and from patient residences.
• Administer specialty medications via intravenous, subcutaneous, or other suitable routes.
• Observe patients before, during, and after infusions for potential adverse reactions and complications.
• Conduct pre-treatment evaluations and assess physical condition and vital signs.
• Inform patients and caregivers about medications, side effects, treatment expectations, and emergency procedures.
• Perform follow-up calls or visits to monitor patient progress and any delayed side effects.
• Provide clinical insights and collaborate on adjustments to care plans.
• Ensure accurate documentation of infusion, medication administration, patient education, and follow-up.
• Work alongside nurses, pharmacists, and pharmacy personnel under the Clinical Nurse Supervisor's guidance.
• Prepare and manage medications in accordance with safety, sterile techniques, infection control, and regulatory standards.
• Confirm medication accuracy, including both drug and dosage.
• Oversee and manage specialty medication and infusion supply inventory.
• Assist with insurance verification and prior authorization processes.
• IgCN-certified nurses may provide mentorship to staff, support training, observe clinical practices, evaluate competency, and document mentorship activities.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN).
• A college degree/certification is required or equivalent experience is acceptable.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience is necessary.
• At least 1 year of experience in accessing PIV lines, ports, and maintaining PICC lines is required.
• A year of experience in ER/ICU/infusion settings is preferred.
• One year of infusion experience in a hospital or Home Health environment is preferred.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to frequent changes in direction.
• A valid driver's license, automobile insurance coverage, and access to a dependable vehicle are essential.
• Willingness to travel up to 2 hours from Scranton, PA to patients' residences.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening is mandatory.
• Active IgCN certification is required for additional IgCN mentorship responsibilities.
• A sign-on bonus of $1,000 ($500 paid with the first paycheck; $500 after 90 days of employment).
• Mileage reimbursement at a rate of $0.48 per mile.
• Travel time is included in work hours and compensated hourly.
• A part-time schedule of 5–10+ hours per week, depending on patient needs and availability.
