This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Facilitate the establishment of effective partnerships with program sponsors and their authorized contractor clients.
• Confirm, enhance, and refresh program sponsor lead, suspect, and prospect databases.
• Manage CRM files, ensuring up-to-date contact details, firmographics, correspondence, and call reports.
• Discover and assess new industry opportunities that align with sponsor profiles for the bank.
• Prequalify program sponsor leads according to established criteria.
• Assist in the planning for pre-trade shows and follow up post-event.
• Participate in trade shows.
• Support the transition of new program sponsors to the launch team.
• Evaluate materials prepared for new programs to ensure accuracy in program structure.
• Aid in the planning, execution, and monitoring of the annual business development strategy, including the preparation of the annual budget.
• Respond to incoming calls from suspects, prospects, new program sponsors, and contractors.
• Provide information, address routine inquiries, or escalate issues to the VP/Manager of Business Development.
• Acquire knowledge of business development, marketing strategies, program launches, training for sponsors and contractors, payment options, PartnerPortal reporting, CRM, loan center and contractor support workflows, pricing, agreements, credit policy, market demand, and competition.
• Monitor and report on news releases, blogs, and social media regarding leads, suspects, prospects, and significant management changes.
• Assist Business Development Officers in identifying targets and scheduling appointments.
• Guide prospects through the client-focused buying continuum under supervision using PCE skills.
• Engage prospects at trade shows and similar events to articulate the bank's value proposition and gauge interest.
• Help manage and enhance CRM functionalities to meet departmental requirements.
• Start managing the business development process for assigned accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with established contractors, program sponsors, and authorized contractor clients.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field with five (5) years of business development or similar experience, or an Associate's degree in Business or a related field with seven (7) years of business development or related experience, or a High School Diploma or GED with nine (9) years of business development or related experience.
• Willingness and ability to travel.
• Strong preference for candidates with direct competitor experience.
• Candidates residing in the Southwest states or Florida are preferred.
• Must be able to travel to Salt Lake City, Utah, or attend national events as required, up to 25% of the time.
