HIM Release of Information Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist with the daily operations of Release of Information, which includes coordinating workflows, monitoring quality, and tracking productivity across designated facilities.

• Ensure adherence to HIPAA, ROI regulations, state disclosure laws, client policies, and the organization's standards concerning the release of protected health information.

• Evaluate performance trends, compile reports, and communicate results effectively.

• Recognize opportunities for enhancing processes and standardizing practices.

• Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and client leadership regarding ROI processes, resolving issues, managing escalations, conducting audits, and improving systems or workflows.

• May supervise vendor performance to ensure service delivery, compliance, and operational efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of ROI regulations, HIPAA, state disclosure laws, and compliance mandates.

• Strong understanding of authorization requirements and Release of Information procedures.

• RHIA or RHIT certification is preferred.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to handle competing priorities and support operational objectives in a dynamic environment.

• Familiarity with Release of Information operations, regulatory standards, and workflow optimization.
