HIM MPI Integrity Analyst, Health Information Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee the BHSF Master Patient Index (MPI) and ensure unique patient identifiers are maintained across acute care hospitals, outpatient services, ambulatory surgical centers, and Baptist Health Medical groups.

• Detect and rectify patient MPI records within clinical, financial, and administrative systems.

• Uphold the integrity of medical records to enhance patient safety and ensure continuity of care.

• Aggregate clinical patient data for Health Information Exchange to elevate quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness of care.

• Collaborate with team members to achieve both individual and departmental objectives.

• Provide patient care assistance through on-call support, which includes nights and weekends.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma, Certificate, GED, Training, or Experience.

• At least two years of experience in acute care medical record analysis.

• Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy.

• Understanding of health information systems, database management, spreadsheet design, and computer technology.

• Capability to prioritize work tasks and pay attention to details, with strong decision-making skills in a fast-paced work environment.

• Proficient in computer applications (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook).

• Must be able to type at a minimum of 25 wpm and successfully complete testing in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Availability for on-call support, including nights and weekends, for patient care assistance.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive demeanor and delivering outstanding customer service.

• Competence to work independently and execute assignments to completion within the guidelines of given instructions, established routines, and accepted standards.

• Minimum Required Experience: 3 Years
