This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Ensure the precision, completeness, and integrity of patient health information within the Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Identify, analyze, and rectify data discrepancies, including duplicate medical records, patient overlays, demographic inconsistencies, and inaccurate documentation.
• Resolve and consolidate duplicate medical records.
• Verify and address patient overlays.
• Maintain and oversee Epic work queues pertaining to data integrity issues.
• Add necessary chart flags or comments to uphold the integrity of medical records.
• Collaborate with Patient Access, Registration, Clinical Staff, and other departments to correct errors and avert future problems.
• Meet established productivity standards.
• Ensure all duties adhere to HIPAA, The Joint Commission, CommUnityCare standards, and relevant policies and procedures.
• Utilize Epic reporting tools and dashboards to track trends, identify root causes, and suggest process enhancements.
• Provide excellent customer service and cultivate professional relationships throughout the organization.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and stay informed about confidentiality and privacy regulations.
• Develop and nurture relationships with clinical managers, clinical support staff, providers, business office personnel, and other stakeholders.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (higher degree preferred).
• 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
• Strong critical thinking abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in building relationships and delivering outstanding customer service.
• Familiarity with commonly used medical terminology.
• Capability to use a computer for data entry and retrieval.
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to perform operations within the EHRS system.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
• Proficient in managing competing objectives in a fast-paced environment to achieve results.
• Regular full-time employment.
• Monday–Friday day shift, 8am–5pm.
• Remote role.
