High Voltage Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Set up and manage a mobile high voltage testing trailer system.

• Execute tests including applied voltage, induced voltage, partial discharge localization, and temperature rise assessments.

• Carry out low voltage examinations such as winding resistance, turns ratio, excitation, and power factor analysis.

• Evaluate electrical testing outcomes and calibrate testing instruments.

• Effectively communicate with clients and generate comprehensive test reports.

• Develop test plans to assist the proposal team.

• Offer technical assistance to field teams and assess transformer oil testing results.

• Maintain core values of safety and integrity in all activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline with over 5 years of experience, or a combination of education and more than 10 years of transformer-related experience.

• Familiarity with industry regulations (IEEE, IEC, NEMA).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to compile technical reports.

• Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail.

• A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset combined with excellent communication skills.

• Authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
