📋 Description

• Lead the integration of Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) from the initial stages of clinical development through to commercialization.

• Design and manage the health outcomes research strategy for compounds within Lilly’s cardiometabolic health sector.

• Act as a senior strategic partner in HEOR on key teams throughout the development and commercialization phases.

• Develop and implement Patient Focused Outcome, Real World Evidence, and economic value strategies for priority products and regions.

• Create uniform and flexible HEOR standards across the portfolio.

• Generate impactful scientific insights throughout the product lifecycle to address evidence requirements and enhance patient outcomes.

• Utilize technical expertise and knowledge of disease states to tackle registration, pricing, reimbursement, and access challenges.

• Mentor and guide junior scientists and colleagues in HEOR methodologies and best practices.

• Spearhead health outcomes evidence planning and execution with cross-functional teams.

• Advocate for HEOR priorities, trade-offs, and recommendations to business partners.

• Provide strategic consultancy on optimizing HEOR across the organization.

• Assess business partner requests with prioritization and promptness.

• Lead, manage, coach, and develop a team of HEOR scientists.

• Allocate personnel and resources across the cardiometabolic health portfolio.

• Foster an inclusive, high-accountability team culture.

• Convey health outcomes information to internal stakeholders, the scientific community, and clients.

• Promote research dissemination through abstracts, posters, presentations, marketing materials, and manuscripts.

• Plan and enhance the application of research findings and deliverables.

• Stay informed about developments in disease states and health outcomes, methodologies, applications, market demands, and trends.

• Track and influence both internal and external elements that affect health outcomes research.

• Ensure projects adhere to timelines, budgets, and scope by collaborating with cross-functional partners and external collaborators.


⛳️ Requirements

• Doctorate (PhD, MD) with 7+ years of experience in creating, executing, and delivering health outcomes strategies/projects OR PharmD/MS degree with 7+ years of experience in the same.

• Strong understanding and communication abilities, including the capacity to clearly and concisely translate and disseminate complex scientific information.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively within and across teams.

• Demonstrated experience in establishing and leading HEOR strategy across a portfolio or therapeutic area.

• Proven people-leadership experience in formally managing, developing, and leading scientists.

• Established ability to influence senior internal and external decision-makers.

• Demonstrated capability to drive research agendas to completion and dissemination.

• Capacity to think and act globally with a focus on customer needs and solutions.

• Knowledge of health outcomes disciplines, therapeutic-area disease states, drug development, commercialization, and market geography.

• Technical proficiency in statistical analysis, economic modeling, clinical trials, development of Patient Focused Outcomes, observational/epidemiological research, and health technology or value assessment.

• Willingness to travel 10–25% both domestically and internationally.
