This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Lead the definition and documentation of requirements, encompassing both functional and data specifications.
• Develop and oversee the data mapping strategy, collaborating with data engineers for technical execution.
• Convert approved clinical and program requirements into functional and data specifications for system upgrades and modifications.
• Gather stakeholder feedback and maintain a traceable record of requirements and decisions made.
• Assist in system testing, impact assessments, and change management processes.
• Identify potential risks, dependencies, and downstream effects.
• Aid the IHSC Change Control Board in processing change and enhancement requests.
• Ensure transparency and documentation of request statuses and decisions made.
• A bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of relevant professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years in support of health IT or enterprise IT systems.
• Proven experience in leading requirements gathering and analysis for intricate systems and enhancements.
• Ability to translate operational and program needs into functional specifications and requirements.
• Experience in directing data mapping strategies, including data elements, sources, and business rules.
• Background in supporting EHR implementations or clinical informatics projects.
• Strong coordination skills with cross-functional stakeholders for change management and system testing.
• Public Trust clearance with both Preliminary and Complete Fitness Determination is mandatory.
• Preferred: experience with EHR platforms, telehealth systems, and enterprise integration initiatives.
• Preferred: IIBA CBAP or an equivalent certification.
• Preferred: HL7 or health informatics certification.
• Preferred: experience supporting a federal or DHS/ICE Change Control Board process.
