This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Manage a client portfolio through phone, email, and both onsite and virtual meeting support as necessary.
• Provide hands-on health & safety consultancy in accordance with UK legislation, guidance, industry best practices, and Impact HR’s tools and systems.
• Offer pragmatic health & safety advice and assistance across a variety of sectors.
• Aid clients in establishing proportionate health & safety arrangements and management systems.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business owners, managers, and leadership teams.
• Keep clients updated on relevant legislation, guidance, and changes in best practices.
• Conduct health & safety audits, workplace inspections, and compliance reviews.
• Create reports that highlight good practices, areas of non-compliance, and opportunities for improvement.
• Formulate recommendations and assist with implementation and progress monitoring.
• Develop and review risk assessments and practical control measures.
• Create, review, and update health & safety policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Assist in accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, including guidance on RIDDOR.
• Provide advice on Construction (Design and Management) Regulations and review relevant construction documentation.
• Perform audits on construction sites.
• Offer guidance on fire safety, COSHH, manual handling, ergonomics, work at height, workplace transport, machinery, electrical safety, and PPE.
• Design and deliver health & safety training, briefings, and toolbox talks.
• Support the establishment of safe systems of work, contractor arrangements, new premises, and other health & safety projects.
• Represent Impact HR at networking events and identify opportunities to expand client accounts or introduce services.
• Contribute to the development of Impact HR’s health & safety services and resources.
• Extensive practical experience in health & safety, preferably in consultancy or a multi-site environment.
• At least a NEBOSH General Certificate level or equivalent qualification.
• Membership in a relevant professional body, such as a minimum TechIOSH level or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of UK health & safety legislation, guidance, and best practices.
• Experience in conducting health & safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Proven experience in developing policies, procedures, risk assessments, and other health & safety documentation.
• Excellent consulting, influencing, and coaching abilities.
• Confident in communicating health & safety requirements clearly, pragmatically, and proportionately.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Exceptional planning, prioritization, and time management skills.
• Proficient in MS 365.
• A solutions-oriented, commercially aware mindset.
• Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality practices.
• Willingness to travel for client site visits as needed.
