This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +4 more states.
• Deliver technical assistance and training (TTA) to programs focusing on school readiness, family engagement, and professional development.
• Provide TTA concerning the selection and implementation of ongoing child assessments, curricula, and teaching methods that are age-appropriate, developmentally suitable, culturally relevant, and linguistically appropriate for children from birth to five years.
• Support programs in enhancing teacher/child interactions as outlined by the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) for center-based preschool programs and other applicable measures for programs catering to children from birth to five, as well as those in home-based and family childcare settings.
• Aid programs in developing the procedures and skills necessary to aggregate, analyze, and utilize data from various sources.
• Assist programs in implementing a research-backed coaching model.
• Help programs create and execute family engagement strategies that foster family progress, as per the Parent Family and Community Engagement (PFCE) Framework, which includes coaching family engagement staff and the selection and implementation of a parenting curriculum.
• Support programs in enhancing transition practices for birth-to-five, including nurturing relationships with local preschools, elementary schools, and other partners.
• Facilitate improved collaboration among programs, Local Education Agencies (LEAs), state agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate TTA with Grantee, Family Engagement, Health, and System Specialists to ensure effective integration of TTA across service areas, as instructed by the Regional Office.
• Maintain consistent and timely communication with Regional Office staff regarding TTA delivery and progress towards corrective actions or quality improvements.
• Support emerging Office of Head Start (OHS) initiatives and priorities.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education/Development or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Must be fluent in both English and Spanish.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in Spanish and English.
• Over 5 years of experience in programs serving young children from birth to five years of age.
• At least 1 year of experience working with infants and toddlers.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in family engagement.
• At least 1 year of experience facilitating group discussions and presenting to diverse audiences.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in data analysis and assisting programs in making data-driven decisions.
• At least 1 year of experience providing training and/or technical assistance to programs in developing and/or implementing school readiness goals or plans.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in effective communication, both orally and in writing, to a variety of audiences.
