
Head of Sales – EMEA, Public Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Develop, implement, and spearhead a detailed go-to-market growth strategy and sales plan for the EMEA public sector.
• Drive revenue enhancement and market growth in partnership with North American Public Sector and regional sales teams.
• Provide leadership in sales and operations to the EMEA public sector sales team.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Engineering to ensure sales initiatives align with company objectives.
• Represent Cohere at industry events, conferences, networking functions, regulatory meetings, and government agencies.
• Manage relationships with governmental decision-makers and partners.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including negotiating and closing high-value agreements.
• Work with global teams to enhance key relationships and establish best practices for enterprise-level project implementations.
• Ensure robust client engagement throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Over 10 years of experience in PUBSEC sales and leadership.
• Proven experience in leading go-to-market initiatives and driving revenue growth within fast-paced technology companies.
• Established network within Germany and the EMEA region, including federal agencies, prime contractors, and industry associations.
• Demonstrated success in leading capture and sales efforts for consultative solution sales and business development.
• In-depth understanding of regional procurement processes, budget cycles, customer success, and resource allocation.
• Exceptional communication and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to build cross-functional relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Comfortable navigating a matrix environment and coordinating across diverse teams and regions.
• Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work independently.
• Experience in AI or a related industry is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in English and German is essential.
• Must reside in Germany.
• Willingness to travel 25–35%.
