This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate and guide the enterprise research strategy, encompassing annual research priorities, publication schedules, governance frameworks, and adherence to ethical and compliant research standards.
• Supervise the analysis of clinical, operational, and measurement-based care data to derive actionable insights regarding access, engagement, quality, safety, clinical effectiveness, and patient outcomes.
• Set publication standards and oversee the development of manuscripts, white papers, conference abstracts, annual outcome reports, and externally-facing research narratives.
• Create scalable research operations, incorporating project intake, prioritization, study design support, documentation, data request workflows, IRB and regulatory coordination, and reporting frequency.
• Collaborate with Clinical Excellence, Quality, Legal/Compliance, Privacy, Data Insights, Informatics, Practice Operations, Strategy, and Finance teams.
• Establish and manage partnerships with academic institutions, health systems, professional organizations, vendors, and external experts.
• Convert research insights into clinical quality improvement priorities, measurement frameworks, and evidence-based recommendations.
• Lead and develop research personnel, consultants, and matrixed contributors.
• Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, privacy mandates, ethical standards, IRB expectations, and company policies.
• Prepare executive-ready updates, dashboards, recommendations, and presentations.
• Oversee research staff and/or contractors while providing functional leadership to matrixed contributors.
• Manage enterprise-level research initiatives, publication schedules, outcomes reporting, external collaborations, governance, and scalable process implementation.
• Establish research priorities, recommend study designs, shape publication strategies, and translate data into research outputs.
• Travel occasionally for enterprise meetings, research collaborations, conferences, leadership discussions, or operational engagement.
• Doctoral degree such as PhD, PsyD, MD, DrPH, ScD, or an equivalent terminal degree in psychology, psychiatry, behavioral health, public health, health services research, statistics, data science, epidemiology, or a related discipline; a Master's degree with substantial equivalent research leadership experience may also be considered.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in clinical research, behavioral health research, health services research, outcomes research, quality improvement, data analytics, or a similar healthcare research area.
• More than 5 years of leadership experience managing research teams, cross-functional research programs, external collaborators, or complex multi-stakeholder research projects.
• Proven experience in designing, analyzing, interpreting, and disseminating clinical or healthcare outcomes research utilizing real-world data, EHR-derived data, claims data, survey data, or measurement-based care data.
• Experience in developing manuscripts, conference submissions, white papers, executive research summaries, or external publications.
• Training in human subjects research, familiarity with IRB, or equivalent research compliance training required or to be completed upon hiring.
• Proficiency in research strategy, study design, outcomes methodology, data interpretation, and evidence generation.
• Solid understanding of behavioral health care delivery, measurement-based care, quality improvement, and clinical governance.
• Ability to distill complex data and research findings into clear, actionable recommendations for clinical, operational, and executive audiences.
• Strong skills in executive communication, publication development, stakeholder influence, and cross-functional leadership.
• High standards regarding research ethics, data integrity, privacy, equity, and compliance.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Reliable internet access and a quiet, distraction-free, HIPAA-compliant workspace are required.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, talk, hear, walk, and lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
