Head of Product Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Lead and nurture the Product Design team, providing line management for five designers

• Establish benchmarks for craftsmanship, judgment, and accountability

• Define and maintain the experience standard across customer-facing native apps, web platforms, and back-office systems

• Ensure consistency across teams and user journeys

• Shape the long-term experience vision and codify guiding principles

• Advance and promote the adoption of design systems

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership on strategy, problem definition, and trade-offs

• Contribute directly to complex, high-impact projects through visual and interaction design

• Work in partnership with Brand, Creative, Growth, CRM, and Games teams

• Investigate and integrate emerging technologies, such as AI

• Enhance structures and standards that scale experience quality as the organization expands

• Proven experience operating at scale and influencing design direction across multiple teams and platforms

• Experience in building or evolving design systems

• Proficient in hands-on visual and interaction design

• Experience in contributing to high-stakes projects

• Track record of strategic partnership with Product and Engineering leaders

• Experience in mentoring designers through feedback, coaching, and recruitment

• Exceptional taste in visual and interaction design

• Strong instincts regarding product development

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across various disciplines and seniority levels

• Genuine curiosity about emerging technologies, including AI

• Deep passion for creating well-designed digital products
