Director/Senior 3D Spatial Design Lead, Experiential

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Collaborate on the development of RFPs by crafting compelling spatial proposal responses that align with client objectives and brand voice.

• Convert creative briefs into actionable, fabrication-ready spatial designs, which include floor plans and elevations.

• Generate design concepts and visuals through sketching, floor plan creation, elevation drawings, 3D modeling, and rendering.

• Produce detailed 3D models and high-quality renderings.

• Design attendee journeys and engineer activation touchpoints for maximum impact.

• Develop consumer flow charts that illustrate event and guest movement throughout the designed spaces.

• Manage relationships with fabrication and print vendors, including troubleshooting and negotiations.

• Review material sample finishes and ensure quality control of creative execution.

• Create decor and graphics packages for live events, including sourcing event components and planning signage placement, materials, and dimensions.

• Collaborate with production teams, creative directors, and fabricators to confirm design feasibility while adhering to budget constraints.

• Conduct site visits and oversee installations to guarantee design accuracy and creative execution.

• Engage in post-event evaluations and incorporate insights into future projects.


⛳️ Requirements

• 2–6+ years of experience in experiential marketing, set design, or environmental design.

• Proficiency in 3D modeling software, including SketchUp, Rhino, or 3ds Max.

• Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

• Understanding of building materials, lighting solutions, and fabrication techniques.

• A robust portfolio that showcases immersive environments, experiential activations, or comparable projects.

• Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

• Familiarity with rendering engines such as V-Ray, Lumion, or Twinmotion.

• Knowledge of AI design tools like Midjourney and Flora.

• Experience with motion graphics or animation.

• Proven ability to collaborate with multi-agency teams and manage external creative/production vendors.
