Head of People & Culture – Volunteer Role

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain a welcoming and inclusive environment for all volunteers.

• Develop formats for networking and knowledge-sharing among volunteers, including topic-specific roundtables, regular meetings, and casual gatherings.

• Foster networking opportunities by building and maintaining relationships between volunteers and specialized departments.

• Enhance the volunteer experience from onboarding to ongoing support.

• Design a People & Culture experience, incorporating recognition initiatives and benefits, while adhering to a very limited budget.

• Collaborate closely with the Executive Board on strategic direction and priorities.

• Collect feedback from volunteers and convert it into actionable improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in community, culture, or volunteer management; human resources; or a similar field.

• Strong empathy and understanding of individual and group dynamics, along with the ability to implement insights into tangible initiatives.

• Innovative thinking when working with limited resources: impactful ideas are prioritized over budget constraints.

• Excellent organizational skills and dependability in execution.

• Clear and respectful communication with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

• A formal degree is not necessary; relevant practical experience is valued.
