This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Croatia.
• Take ownership of the strategy, roadmap, budget, and vendor landscape for internal IT.
• Lead, nurture, and develop the IT Support and IT Tooling & Automation teams.
• Manage IT as an employee-focused product, assessing service levels and prioritizing based on business impact.
• Administer, integrate, streamline, and document essential SaaS applications for the business.
• Design workflows driven by APIs and ensure data synchronization across various platforms.
• Oversee vendor selection, consolidation, licensing, renewals, and make decisions based on cost versus value.
• Advocate for code-first automation utilizing scripts, internal services, event-driven pipelines, CLI tools, and ChatOps.
• Develop and enhance automated onboarding, offboarding, identity provisioning, and IT self-service capabilities.
• Establish the technical standards for the IT Tooling & Automation team, review designs, and contribute directly.
• Manage the internal AI tool portfolio, which includes evaluation, procurement, administration, governance, cost management, and lifecycle oversight.
• Provide AI-powered support assistants, knowledge retrieval, ticket triage and resolution, and operational automation.
• Collaborate with AI Enablement and AI champions to foster widespread adoption.
• Define AI data handling, model, and vendor guidelines in partnership with Security and Legal teams.
• Assess AI adoption, usage, costs, and its impact on productivity.
• Deliver person-centric IT support for a global remote workforce and conduct root-cause analyses.
• Manage SSO/SAML/SCIM, identity lifecycle automation, MDM, password management, and access audits in line with Zero Trust principles.
• Collaborate with Information Security to ensure compliance with ISO 27001 and audit readiness.
• 10+ years of experience in IT engineering, business systems engineering, or internal platform engineering at SaaS or tech companies.
• 3+ years of experience leading a team responsible for internal business systems and automation.
• Practical ability to read, review, and write automation code in Python or a similar programming language.
• Proficiency with APIs, webhooks, OAuth flows, and integration frameworks.
• Proven track record of managing a modern SaaS business application landscape, including cross-system integration and data synchronization at scale.
• Demonstrated experience delivering AI tooling, including LLM assistants, knowledge retrieval, AI-assisted support, or agentic workflow automation.
• Familiarity with AI account administration, governance of seats and usage, cost control, and operational guardrails.
• Extensive experience with SSO/SAML/SCIM, identity lifecycle automation, MDM, and Zero Trust access frameworks.
• Experience in supporting or achieving compliance with ISO 27001, SOC2, or GDPR security audits.
• Experience in vendor and budget management across a significant SaaS portfolio.
• Experience serving a remote-first, globally distributed workforce with a person-first service approach.
• Excellent communication skills in English, suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.
• Nice-to-have: familiarity with agentic platforms and protocols, Claude/Gemini Enterprise/OpenAI/Copilot ecosystems, FinOps-style AI and cloud spend governance, SRE practices, and tool consolidation after growth or mergers and acquisitions.
