This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish and manage the commercial infrastructure at Intrinsic as the first dedicated leader in this domain.
• Enhance the firm's pipeline while strengthening connections with the private equity and investment banking sectors.
• Create and maintain lists of target accounts involving private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and investment banking intermediaries.
• Formulate and implement strategies for referral sources within the PE and M&A landscape.
• Cultivate strategic partnerships with investment bankers, capital providers, and other intermediaries.
• Monitor the progress of opportunities through the sales funnel and maintain a current overview of pipeline health.
• Manage Salesforce as the primary system for pipeline reporting, relationship mapping, referral tracking, win/loss analysis, forecasting, and trip planning.
• Provide regular pipeline updates to firm leadership.
• Mentor Managing Directors, Senior Directors, and Directors on developing business relationships.
• Assist in the preparation of pitches and development of proposals.
• Create playbooks for sales and relationship management.
• Engage in discussions regarding pricing and support the structuring of engagements and communication of value.
• Supervise the firm's website and LinkedIn presence.
• Organize thought leadership initiatives.
• Manage participation in conferences and events.
• Develop campaigns for referral appreciation and client engagement.
• Oversee announcements of deals and communications regarding milestones.
• Over 10 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or senior commercial development within an advisory or professional services firm.
• Significant exposure to the middle-market private equity deal ecosystem.
• Proven success in establishing and converting relationships with private equity sponsors, investment bankers, or deal intermediaries into measurable business results.
• Familiarity with referral-driven business models in advisory settings, including long sales cycles and the dynamics of trust-building.
• Knowledge of transaction advisory, valuation, and financial and accounting advisory services related to PE-backed transactions and portfolio company operations.
• Experience with or influence over CRM systems, with a preference for Salesforce.
• Active involvement in market development through events, calls, relationship building, and creating opportunities.
• Ability to guide others with practical, experience-based advice.
• Comfortable with long sales cycles and revenue generation driven by relationships.
• Innovative and adaptable in establishing a commercial function for a boutique advisory firm.
• Possess executive presence and credibility with private equity partners and CFOs.
• Preferred qualifications include experience in investment banking, PE operating executive or operating partner positions, or leadership in advisory roles such as TAS, CFO advisory, or management consulting.
