Head of Finance, Russian Speaker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the preparation and precision of the P&L, cash flow statement, and balance sheet.

• Execute the monthly close promptly and ensure that the reporting package is consistent, reconciled, and accessible for management use.

• Manage inventory and fixed asset accounting, which includes policies for capitalization and depreciation regarding bikes, batteries, and spare parts.

• Keep the fixed asset register updated and handle disposals and write-offs.

• Reconcile operational inventory records with the general ledger.

• Sustain the financial model for internal planning purposes.

• Collaborate with department heads to formulate annual and quarterly budgets.

• Monitor actual performance against the plan and report discrepancies, providing recommended corrective actions.

• Develop the financial control function, incorporating approval procedures, spending controls, segregation of duties, and oversight of cash, receivables, and payables.

• Supervise in-house accountants and the outsourced accounting firm.

• Oversee payroll, manage multi-state tax registrations and filings, ensure statutory reporting, and prepare for audits.

• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and payment processing operations.

• Collaborate closely with operations, supply chain, and product teams on pricing alterations, new city launches, vendor contracts, warehouse and inventory processes, and modifications to payment systems.

• Recognize and address the financial and accounting implications of cross-functional projects at the design phase.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in accounting and finance, including managing a complete monthly close as a Controller, Head of Finance, or in a similar role.

• Familiarity with the US market.

• Proficiency in inventory and fixed asset accounting within a physical business environment.

• Experience with multi-state payroll and tax compliance.

• Background in managing accounting personnel and outsourced services.

• Experience in a company where processes had to be developed from scratch rather than simply maintained.

• Strong skills in systems, particularly in accounting system implementation or migration.
