This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +2 more states.
• Oversee the Commercial Project Management and project finance functions throughout the U.S. organization.
• Act as the key financial partner to Project Execution and business leadership.
• Deliver financial analysis and strategic insights to aid in business decision-making.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Commercial Project Management team.
• Manage the financial performance of the project portfolio, encompassing revenue, margin, cash flow, costs, and balance sheet forecasting.
• Track project performance while identifying financial risks and opportunities.
• Spearhead budgeting, cost center planning, and forecasting initiatives.
• Guarantee proper project setup, invoicing, reporting, and project closure.
• Provide timely and actionable financial reports to leadership.
• Oversee customer and supplier commercial terms during project execution.
• Collaborate with Legal, Tax, Procurement, and Sales on contract evaluations and negotiations.
• Recognize and address contractual, financial, and operational risks.
• Direct change order processes, claims, dispute resolution, and commercial risk management efforts.
• Assist in sourcing and procurement decisions by leveraging financial and commercial expertise.
• Enhance project cash flow performance, billing accuracy, and collections.
• Ensure adherence to relevant tax regulations.
• Coordinate treasury-related tasks, including hedging and bank guarantees as necessary.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and commercial governance protocols.
• Facilitate internal and external audits while driving the resolution of audit issues.
• Implement finance and project management standards in line with company policies.
• Conduct project reviews centered on financial performance, risk management, and corrective measures.
• Present forecasts, risks, opportunities, and project outcomes to senior leadership.
• Propel process enhancements, reporting automation, and the adoption of project management best practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 7-10+ years of experience in finance, commercial project management, project controlling, contract management, or related fields.
• 1-3 years of experience in leadership and team development.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing, energy, automation, infrastructure, or other project-driven business environments.
• Strong understanding of project financial management, forecasting, cash flow, billing, contracts, claims, and risk management.
• Knowledge of internal controls, audits, taxation, treasury functions, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Capability to influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively in a cross-functional setting.
• Proven history of enhancing processes, reinforcing controls, and driving operational efficiency.
