Head of Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee all payment transactions and document supplier invoices, bank transactions, cash accounts, and credit card statements utilizing Candis, JTL, and DATEV

• Import and manage reports from PayPal, Amazon, Klarna, and PayOne, as well as integrate accounts receivable data through interfaces

• Reconcile all financial accounts

• Prepare monthly financial statements and conduct preparatory work for the half-year and annual financial statements

• Generate analyses and deliver regular reports to management

• File VAT returns

• Digitize accounting processes

• Develop and oversee processes related to Amazon FBA

• Analyze and assess Amazon data in Taxdoo

• Collaborate closely with E-Commerce Management, Human Resources, and Procurement

• Assume responsibility for the entire accounting function at the Berlin, Bückeburg, and Porta Westfalica locations

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed degree or vocational training in finance, accounting, taxation, or a related field

• Several years of professional experience in finance or accounting, preferably in an international setting

• Familiarity with tax law, especially VAT (both national and international)

• Experience in preparing financial statements and working within controlling functions

• Exceptional analytical skills and a strong affinity for numbers

• Proficient use of business intelligence tools

• A team player with excellent communication skills and the capacity to work efficiently under pressure

• Independent, organized, and detail-oriented working style

• Experience in monitoring transactions on the Amazon Marketplace is a plus

• Strong knowledge of DATEV and Microsoft Office
