This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the finance department and report directly to the CEO.
• Oversee daily financial operations, including bookkeeping and monthly closing processes.
• Manage the P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, financial statements, accounting practices, revenue recognition, tax obligations, and treasury functions.
• Ensure robust controls and readiness for audits.
• Supervise the finance team and collaborate with external accounting partners.
• Develop and implement financial processes, systems, reporting schedules, and budget management.
• Take ownership of annual planning, budgeting, and rolling forecasts.
• Create driver-based financial models for scenario analysis, hiring strategies, and long-term planning.
• Foster discipline in spending, cash flow management, and runway oversight.
• Collaborate with GTM leadership on compensation structures, capacity assessments, pricing strategies, and unit economics.
• Counsel the CEO and executive team on investment opportunities, trade-offs, and growth pacing.
• Provide decision-ready reports on essential SaaS metrics.
• Cultivate ownership of board and investor communications.
• Assist in preparing for fundraising efforts and potential strategic initiatives.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance.
• Leadership experience in high-growth B2B SaaS startups or scale-ups, preferably in Series A–C stages.
• Hands-on experience with accounting responsibilities, including monthly close, balance sheets, and income statements.
• Experience guiding a company through an audit process.
• Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, subscription economics, financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning.
• Proven experience collaborating with GTM leaders on commercial economics, compensation structures, and pricing strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to partner closely with CEOs and executive teams.
• Capability to simplify intricate financial concepts and influence stakeholders outside of finance.
• High level of ownership and sound judgment.
• Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.
• CPA certification is a plus.
• Experience with board reporting, investor communications, fundraising, or M&A is a plus.
• Familiarity with transitioning to a sales-led or enterprise GTM strategy is a plus.
• Experience in healthcare, health tech, or regulated-industry SaaS is a plus.
• Practical experience with finance tools such as ERP/GL, billing, FP&A software, or spend management is a plus.
• Must reside within the United States.
• Must meet current or future employer sponsorship requirements to work in the United States.
