Head of Engineering, Supply Chain

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical strategy and architecture for inventory and logistics tools, as well as repair management software.

• Lead an engineering team comprising approximately 25 engineers, including managers, QA, SRE, and Data Engineering professionals.

• Propel the platformization of inventory and supply chain systems.

• Connect operational practices with software systems by developing solutions that adhere to operational discipline.

• Establish architecture standards, engineering workflows, and quality metrics across various squads.

• Partner with business and operational stakeholders to convert requirements into effective engineering solutions.

• Recruit, mentor, and nurture engineering managers and senior engineers.

• Create scalable inventory and logistics systems supporting millions of devices across multiple countries.

• Foster operational data visibility and trust across international markets.

• Maintain strong architecture standards, ensuring reliability and data integrity.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10–15 years of comprehensive software engineering experience, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles during growth phases.

• More than 5 years of hands-on, production-level experience in writing and deploying Java code.

• At least 5 years of experience in managing managers.

• Extensive hands-on experience with supply chain, inventory, warehouse, or logistics software at scale.

• Experience in fintech or regulated industries.

• Strong backend engineering capabilities for data-intensive, distributed operational systems.

• Demonstrated system design proficiency at large scales, managing hundreds of thousands of devices or more.

• Experience in managing and developing large engineering teams of 20 or more individuals.

• Exceptional stakeholder management skills.

• Product-oriented approach to addressing operational challenges with engineering solutions.
