This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.
• Oversee and direct I&C engineering teams across various projects and clients.
• Offer technical direction, mentorship, and assistance to I&C engineers and designers.
• Act as a principal technical and client-facing authority throughout the execution of projects.
• Synchronize I&C tasks with electrical, mechanical, civil, process, and other engineering fields.
• Review and authorize engineering designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical outputs.
• Create engineering scopes, design methodologies, studies, and project cost estimates.
• Formulate specifications for instrumentation and control systems along with procurement documentation.
• Assess vendor proposals, technical bids, and select appropriate equipment.
• Resolve intricate I&C and controls engineering challenges and offer practical solutions.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource distribution.
• Engage in client meetings, design evaluations, technical discussions, and project presentations.
• Contribute to business development efforts, proposals, and the establishment of new client relationships.
• Perform field walkdowns, site evaluations, construction support, equipment installations, commissioning, and start-up activities as necessary.
• Aid in the establishment and maintenance of engineering standards, processes, and quality expectations.
• Recognize opportunities to enhance project execution, technical expertise, and team performance.
• Travel periodically to client and project locations as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, or a related engineering field.
• Over 10 years of professional experience in I&C engineering.
• Proven experience in leading I&C engineering projects, teams, or departments.
• Background in supporting projects in power generation, oil & gas, midstream, downstream, LNG, natural gas, gas processing, or other industrial energy sectors.
• Solid understanding of instrumentation, controls, control systems, and I&C engineering design principles.
• Experience with engineering design, equipment specifications, procurement, vendor management, and field support.
• Strong capability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinate technical tasks across various disciplines.
• Outstanding communication, leadership, organizational, and client-management abilities.
• Willingness to travel to project and client locations as necessary.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
