Head of Engineering, Supply Chain

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the technical strategy and architecture for inventory and logistics tools, as well as repair management software.

• Manage an engineering team comprising around 25 engineers, which includes managers, QA, SRE, and Data Engineering professionals.

• Propel the platformisation of inventory and supply chain systems.

• Integrate operational practices with software systems by creating solutions grounded in operational discipline.

• Establish architecture standards, engineering processes, and quality metrics across various squads.

• Work collaboratively with business and operational stakeholders to convert requirements into effective engineering solutions.

• Recruit, mentor, and nurture engineering managers and senior engineers to facilitate team growth, aiming for a size of over 30 members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess 10–15 years of comprehensive software engineering experience, including at least 5 years of leading engineering teams through growth stages.

• Have 5+ years of practical, production-level experience in writing and deploying Java code as an active engineer.

• Hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing managers.

• Exhibit extensive hands-on experience with supply chain, inventory, warehouse, or logistics software at scale.

• Have experience in the fintech sector or regulated industries.

• Demonstrate strong backend engineering capabilities for data-intensive, distributed operational systems.

• Show proven system design expertise at a large scale, overseeing hundreds of thousands of devices or more.

• Experience in managing and developing sizable engineering teams of 20 or more members.

• Exhibit excellent stakeholder management skills.

• Maintain a product-oriented approach to addressing operational challenges with engineering solutions.
