Head of Engineering, Supply Chain

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the technical strategy and architecture for inventory and logistics tools, as well as repair management software.

• Lead a team of approximately 25 engineers, which includes managers, QA, SRE, and Data Engineering professionals.

• Propel the platformisation of inventory and supply chain systems.

• Create operationally disciplined solutions that connect operational practices with software systems.

• Establish architecture standards, engineering processes, and quality metrics across various squads.

• Ensure reliability and maintain data integrity.

• Collaborate with business and operational stakeholders to convert requirements into engineering solutions.

• Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering managers and senior engineers.

• Deliver scalable inventory and logistics systems that support millions of devices across multiple countries.

• Foster operational data visibility and trust in global markets.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10–15 years of comprehensive software engineering experience, including a minimum of 5 years leading engineering teams through growth phases.

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in writing and deploying production-level Java code as a practicing engineer.

• At least 5 years of experience in managing managers.

• Extensive hands-on experience with supply chain, inventory, warehouse, or logistics software at scale.

• Experience in fintech or regulated industries.

• Strong backend engineering expertise for data-intensive, distributed operational systems.

• Proven ability in system design at a large scale, managing hundreds of thousands of devices or more.

• Experience in managing and developing large engineering teams consisting of 20 or more members.

• Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical leaders.

• A product-minded approach to addressing operational challenges with engineering solutions.
