Head of Engineering, Supply Chain

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the technical strategy and framework for inventory, logistics tools, and repair management software.

• Oversee an engineering team of approximately 25 professionals, including managers, QA, SRE, and Data Engineering.

• Propel the platformization of inventory and supply chain systems to ensure operational data is accessible, reliable, and uniform across millions of terminals.

• Connect operational practices with software systems by developing solutions that adhere to operational discipline.

• Establish architecture standards, engineering processes, and quality metrics throughout teams.

• Partner with business and operational stakeholders to convert operational needs into engineering solutions.

• Recruit, guide, and nurture engineering managers and senior engineers to facilitate team growth of up to 30+ members.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10–15 years of comprehensive software engineering experience, including a minimum of 5 years in leading engineering teams through periods of growth.

• Over 5 years of direct, production-level experience in writing and deploying Java code as an active engineer.

• At least 5 years of experience in managing other managers.

• Extensive hands-on experience in supply chain, inventory, warehouse, or logistics software at scale.

• Experience in fintech or regulated industries.

• Strong backend engineering capabilities for data-intensive, distributed, operational systems.

• Demonstrated ability in system design at large scales, managing hundreds of thousands of devices or more.

• Experience in managing and developing large engineering teams of 20 or more members.

• Exceptional stakeholder management skills.

• A product-focused approach to addressing operational challenges with engineering solutions.
