This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to implement LaunchDarkly's corporate narrative.
• Enhance LaunchDarkly's voice and thought leadership among developers, engineering leaders, technology executives, analysts, and industry influencers.
• Maintain consistent messaging throughout communications, product launches, thought leadership initiatives, analyst engagements, and executive visibility.
• Establish repeatable processes that align communication efforts around a cohesive strategic narrative.
• Identify emerging market discussions and opportunities for LaunchDarkly's involvement.
• Lead and nurture a team of three covering Public Relations, Analyst Relations, and Social Media.
• Oversee thought-leadership initiatives for the CEO, CTO, SVP of Product, and other key executives.
• Discover speaking engagements, contributed content opportunities, media interactions, and strategic platforms.
• Assist in analyst relations efforts with Gartner, Forrester, IDC, RedMonk, and other significant firms.
• Define and monitor communication metrics related to share of voice, analyst perception, executive visibility, and market influence.
• LaunchDarkly empowers developers to deliver software more rapidly, safely deploy features, target experiences, experiment with, and optimize software delivery.
• Generally requires 15+ years of experience in corporate communications, product communications, corporate marketing, or similar leadership positions within high-growth B2B software companies.
• 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Proven success in developing integrated communications strategies that enhance market positioning, thought leadership, and executive visibility.
• Experience in leading and developing high-performing communications teams across public relations, analyst relations, executive communications, and/or social media.
• Strong perspective on how modern B2B technology companies cultivate market influence beyond conventional public relations.
• Outstanding storytelling, messaging, and executive communication abilities.
• Capability to translate intricate technical concepts into engaging market narratives.
• Preferred background in developer tools, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, AI platforms, or enterprise software aimed at technical audiences.
• Preferred experience in supporting category creation, significant market repositioning efforts, or launching new product categories.
• Preferred experience in closely collaborating with Product Marketing and executive leadership to shape corporate positioning and thought leadership.
• Must be authorized to work in the US / Canada.
