This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate and implement business development strategies for ProBio’s Discovery services.
• Oversee, mentor, and lead a team of 2–3 Business Development professionals.
• Recognize and cultivate new business opportunities with academic institutions, biotech firms, and pharmaceutical clients.
• Establish and nurture strategic/key accounts while maintaining connections with key decision-makers.
• Steer opportunities from the initial contact through proposal, negotiation, and project awarding.
• Collaborate with Scientific, Technical, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to craft customer solutions.
• Identify chances to transition Discovery customers into downstream development and CDMO services.
• Oversee team pipeline, forecasting, and business performance metrics.
• Present team pipeline updates to the department head and cross-functional leaders.
• Represent ProBio at customer meetings, conferences, and industry events.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related life-science field; Ph.D., M.S., MBA, or other advanced degrees are preferred.
• A minimum of 6 years of progressive business development, sales, or commercial experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical services, CRO, or CDMO organizations.
• Proven experience in Discovery and/or early-stage drug development services, ideally within biologics.
• Prior experience in people management or team leadership with a demonstrated ability to coach and develop commercial talent.
• A solid record of acquiring new customers, building qualified pipelines, managing strategic accounts, and closing intricate scientific service opportunities.
• Strong comprehension of the drug discovery and development lifecycle along with the outsourcing requirements of biotech and pharmaceutical clients.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
